Veterans Highway Construction/Road Improvements
Please find the attached advance and pre-construction flyers regarding the upcoming resurfacing on Veterans HWY. Announcing the county's intent to continue roadway improvements in the area.
This project will consist of roadway pavement rehabilitation, upgrades to curb ramps for ADA compliance, and spot repairs to sidewalks and curb & gutter.
Work is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 12th, 2026. Construction will take place daily between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM and at night between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. Starting with the daytime work first. They will use flagging operations to maintain traffic flow. The project limits on Veterans Highway are from Brightview Drive to Crain Highway (MD 3 Bus). A map of the work area is provided below.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Tom Dixon. He was a former President of VOMCA and our Santa Claus for 42 years, stepping down in 2017.
