What We Do
VOMCA - Village of Olde Mill Community Association
We enhance and connect our community through membership, events, and meetings.
Some of the best experiences and moments of our lives take place in community. When we get together at a Fall Festival and meet our neighbors, watch our children play together on our Friends Of Olde Mill playscape, connect with other families in similar circumstances, we create bonds of friendship that strengthen our community. It’s our deepest desire to enhance our community and create lasting bonds of friendship and support in our community.
Since 1970, we have acted as the only voice for our neighborhood with Anne Arundel County and Maryland State Government. We also maintain the Barlowe Field area including the Olde Mill Swim Club.
We sponsor several community events, including an Easter Egg Hunt, a Christmas visit from Santa Claus, and a December holiday lighting contest. We also sponsor Cub Scout Pack 957. We’d love to do more, but we are dependent on volunteers to plan and organize events. That’s where you can help! Become a member or volunteer to help out at upcoming events and fundraisers. We would love to welcome you to the community!
What We’ve Achieved
Raised funds and used membership dues to repair and maintain our community pool (Old Mill Swim Club).
Continually provide community information through publication of our monthly newsletter the Olde Mill Crier.
Provide continual support to our sister organization FOOM (Friends Of Olde Mill) who created and maintain the natural playscape at Barlowe Field.
Built and maintain a good rapport with our local District 2 County Executive and Councilwoman.
An active presence on NextDoor.com to reach out and stay on top of any community issues.
Network with our community to provide our local students in the Old Mill Cluster with volunteer community hours.
Support our Swim Club and their Swim Team.
More community engagement and involvement through our fundraisers and events held throughout the year.
