Questions Frequently Asked of VOMCA (and some answers)
Note: An anonymous complaint is never as effective as a signed complaint. In some cases the County won't even act if you aren't willing to sign a complaint.
- Q: Do I need VOMCA's permission to build or renovate on my property?
A: No. You are still bound by the need for County permits depending on the work you are doing. Call 410-222-7730 for more information on Permits.
- Q: My neighbor's pets make a mess/frighten me.
A: You can report them to Animal Control at 410-222-6690.
- Q: My neighbor's lawn needs cutting/trees need trimming.
A: For extreme cases the County will come and do the work and bill the homeowner. Call the Tree Removal department at 410-222-7349 for more information.
- Q: There is constant loud noise/music coming from my neighbor's house.
A: Call the police (Eastern District) at 410-222-6145.
- Q: My neighbor has a car/van/RV on the street that never moves.
A: If the car is plated, inspected, and parked properly, there's nothing you can do. If it's not, call the police (Eastern District) at 410-222-6145.
